Hello all,

After a whole load of searching I finally found myself an E85 Z4M roadster, I drove the car back from mid Wales up to Lancashire on Good Friday. Steel grey with imola red seats the car is lovely, standard apart from AC Schnitzer back boxes which sound great. The only thing I want to add is cruise control which I believe can be retrofitted, anyone done this ?

Welcome along. I didn’t realise they did a steel grey. I only thought they done Silver Grey.

I suspect your MR may be Silver Grey with Imola Red leather which I really like. :roll:

Cruise control seems to be fairly easy to retro-fit. BMW still sell the control stalk for just over £100 and the bit you need to cut out of the lower steering column cowl is marked on the inside. Then contact "srhutch" on here to get the small addition to the wiring loom.
 
I could be wrong on the colour, just going off what John the seller told me, it’s the same colour as the E46 CSL’s apparently, anyway, I’ll get some pics up tomorrow 👍🏻
 
Your car will be Silver Grey in that case. :thumbsup:

There will be a badge on one of the inner wings under the hood to confirm it.
 
Click on the retrofit and you will find the cruise control. You will need the undercover fascia or cut a slot in your existing one. The lever itself does get in the way of the indicator stalk at first but you get used to it. https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=111706

Here we go, took a bit of fathoming to post the pics but I got there eventually. Had all the wheels off today and washed out the arches, took off the rear spacers, will spend some time now getting the car ready for a machine polish. Still can’t believe I actually own it :roll:
