Just gauging interest right now - Z4M Roadster

At that price even i would consider getting back into the fold!

Always fancied an imola one!

If the other pm's dont pan out i'd be interested.

Yeah, starting to think this is now not for sale at 9k...which is good, because when people start selling their cars at way below book/market value, then it starts de-valuing other similar cars,as people then expect to get a good condition, sensible mileage z4 M for 9k and not 12-14k upwards(age and mileage, etc dependant),that it should be.

Hopefully it will be either kept or sold at a sensible market-related price

Thread title "JUST GAUGING INTEREST RIGHT NOW"

quoting poor form and wind up is unfair, I dont think at any point was the car actually offered up for sale at 9k, OP was just putting his thoughts out there and now quite rightly has reconsidered so give him a break

Mmmm, well you could read it either way; his OP does say "9000 would take it away . . . "

There seems to be too many "just gauging interest" posts on here. Haven't noticed it on any other forum.

Drives me nuts, either the bl**dy things are for sale or they are not.

Is it a pride thing with the posters? If it doesn't attract any interest, they can reply that it wasn't actually for sale in the first place.

9000 would take it away ......... only going to offer it to genuine forum members, am not interested in offers - rather put it in storage.

PM me if you are interested and want to know more about it.

Looks like there is no doubt that it is up for sale to me.

What a load of poppycock!

From OP - 9000 would take it away ......... only going to offer it to genuine forum members, am not interested in offers

Reads like a firm sale-ad to me. Clearly he received PM overload with people bidding him above £9k and realised he dropped a bollock. Back pedaling initiated!

Read it how you will mate it doesnt read as a firm for sale ad to me... It doesn't say "for sale" it says gauging interest... obviously people thinking they can get the bargain of the century will read it as for sale, maybe its poorly worded, maybe he's had a change of heart... either way as it stands its his motor and he can do as he pleases... also poppycock?? People actually still use that word? :D No need to be polite to me

 I am trying to bring it back, you will now use it

Not sure why anyone needs to rip into the guy , he's a longterm member & clearly know's what he's doing & as i read it the car is available to a forum member who comes forward with £9k :?

" I am well aware of what the "going" price is ........... :D
Car is not getting used, so either it goes to a known forum member, or else it goes into storage.

I have had my money out of this car many times over .......... :driving:
Price I posted is what it is worth to me ...........

Now let's leave him with his decision before he has a rethink & spoils it for me   :P

If I was the OP then I would be totally overwhelmed by the interest and posts on the subject. I think it's best to leave him to decide if he wants to sell it, who he wants to sell it to and for how much he is willing to take for it. He may just be thinking of the fairest way as there has been lots of interest in a car that seems very underpriced.

Afternoon everyone , just thought I'd let you know that on the back of a recommendation from a senior member on here the OP has offered the car to me and will be making contact with me tomorrow once it has had its MOT.

I'm really pleased for you Lynchy if it all comes off. It's a great gesture and the car can stay on the forum and be enjoyed properly.

(Just dont forget the donation to the forum of the difference between the sale price and market value !)

That's a great result for you - bet you can't stop smiling, hopefully the deal will be done without a hiccup

Great news Lynchy & a great drive home from Scotland to get acqainted although that could be a long job by all accounts :D

Thanks everyone , I'm not 100% sure it's a done deal yet but hopefully the OP and I will work something out
