Hi ive been looking for 3l z4 roadster for a while & just seen one in a local garage that looks very nice ,low milage & clean ,just wondered what you owners reckon to it price ect .Its at Driven car Collection Waltham st Lawrence. Any feedback would be great .cheers .

Wildly varies on spec ,colour, condition, wheels, history, mileage, options, etc etc

Can you share an ad?

It has pretty basic spec, no sports seats, no heated seats, and an aftermarket stereo...

I think roadsters need heated seats... in the UK anyway.

I would consider 2.0l e89 Z4s in your search, they are pretty punchy.

I think you can do better on spec for the money.

Its a little bit more, but a whole lot of car!

Yes that was what i was sort of thinking & your right about 2l you seem to get a lot more for your money but wondered how if theyd be powerful enough ,perhaps ill try one. Thanks for the reply .

They are turbocharged, so at UK road driving speeds, it feels quicker than the 3.0si in my opinion.

The 3.0 will pull far more after say 70mph, but the 20i is no slouch either.

The only thing you can do is drive both and see which you prefer.

looks a nice straight car in unmolested condition - price about right for a dealer - some might say pricey but few good original manual 3 litre cars around - do the obvious though - ring and ask them for the reg so you can check the MOT history and do a cheap HPI check to see how many owners etc - if you're serious about the car it's worth spending a tenner - if you view it check the normal things ie that the hood goes up and down seamlessly and that the tyres have plenty of tread left and that the service history is all there - if it needs tyres and a service you're talking a few hundred quid ! the car looks sound - nice original wheels - the seats are standard unheated not sports seats - wouldn't bother me but would some people ! do some research on the trader and see if you can find some recent reviews - one thing I hate is the way some traders charge an administration fee - cheeky buggers !! Anyway good luck if you end up buying it the engine will put a smile on your face :)

Personally I'd avoid that one. As mentioned. It's very basic in terms of no m-sport seats, not heated, no multifunction steering wheel, less desirable wheels and its age

If you keep an eye on the forums here you'll get a lot more for your money at that price

Thanks for the replys ,i have been watching the sales on here ,i know about spec ect ,idealy id like a 3lsi m spec seats ect & nice wheels with everything sorted, roof motor & any other probs ,long mot recently serviced with good history ,not to high mileage, not sure of colour .So like most people i want a good car with no probs for my hard earned .cheers

Anyone asking a £99 fee for THEM to sell their car to YOU should be avoided, or at least told what to do with their fee IMO! :D What exactly are you getting for your £99?

What's your budget?

I've got a nice 3 litre I'll be selling soon as I've recently purchased an e89 thought I'd wait until spring but it's just sitting in my garage not being used, all I've got to do is mot it, pm me if you would like further details, its going to be priced considerably cheaper than that silver one!

Couldn't agree more.
I would avoid any seller asking for admin fee.
