Pulled it out through the bum! Ok I learned that when I had an esprit lol. Didn’t have to crawl in trunk. Motor rusted completely. I actually felt cheap and the engineer in me took over. I took the back of totally wasted and rusted motor off and cleaned every part! Got it working! Then put it on pump. Nothing...turned out that release valve operated by the red pull thingy was semi corroded and stuck pushed in...bypass. Removes the pump from car and cleaned it! Amazing!!! Works great! 2400 dollar repair cost me about 20 bucks and a few hours of PITA. Yeah!!!😆👌

It is still bleeding because the roof slams when it is up. I don’t recall the slam down on closing. Cycled 10 times. Apparently it’s self bleeding.

If you've put it in the trunk now it will be at a greater angle, so the max mark on the reservoir may not be quite enough. It could possibly be that one of the ports is just slightly letting a bit of air in on every operation.
I'd suggest pulling it out to an upright position, then 'fill to spill' before putting it back in its new home. Worked for me.

They said 3/4 full. That’s where it is. I operated it upright. Not in final position yet.
OK, so not your issue then.
However, my advice still stands, wen you lay it at an angle it may not be enough fluid.
