Just feels like yesterday (painting disks)

Well after getting my new disks and pads which were bought from MTEC, £170 for drilled and grooved disks alround and having them fitted for about 3weeks now they rushed quiet badly... Kinda wish I bought coated now but never thought at the time.
It was due to get them painted up which only feels like I did my original disks yesterday (just before Xmas) So i already had the hammerite silver paint. Didn't take to long but it's been one of them jobs that I couldn't find myself to being bothered to do but had a few spare hours before my wife arrived home from her girls weekend away.

Here are some photos.

Even found the time to buy an ice cream can't beat a Mr Whippy

Very nice, the Mr Whippy, I mean (and the discs, natch!)

I'm looking for new discs for my 2.0i, I notice that MTEC have 4 options for discs, grooved, drilled etc. Does anyone have any thoughts as to which disc type would be most suitable for a daily driver?

Also, won't the holes and grooves mean that the pads will wear out quicker?

Mines ticks all the same boxes as you daily driver and 2.0i, like I said the only thing I regret is not getting them coated which I would have chose black. The only thing with mine is I've got a weird buzzing noise on my left rear but it's only under braking above 40mph which I am getting checked out appart from that they seem fine to me

So errr....... Paul, tell me, do you still like those wheels then?...... really, really, really?

Are they MV1's ? And are they a Mr Wilks special?

They look stunning and I love the orange too :D

Not sure about the taste of the ice cream cone though after those fingers have been holding it :sick2:

Yeah they are an MV1 thought I would go for something a little different never seen them on a zed before..... And then Mr Wilks goes and copy's me :poke:
I got them off eBay from Redcar and had them painted up at a place in westerhope just out the back of newcastle (wheel specialist company). I already had an idea of colour just wanted to see it in person before committing.

The dirty hands add to the flavour haha.

You really must like the wheels Paul to post 4times :poke:

Tony ran MV1 1's on his coupe. When he got the Porsche I used them for my winters, guess I need to sell them now :?

They look really special the way you've had them painted - much nicer than the bog standard silver :)

Better paint mine before I fit them in the week, it's not a DD and rarely gets wet even so still think I better paint them
