Just Checking in -

Thanks, I know what you mean about side roads - same seems to apply in the outside lane of motorways :/

So, 5 months in, and I am still loving the Z4 !, just coming up for a service at 80,000 ish - and it hasn't missed a beat. - the straight six is so smooth, and the whole car is so well put together. The last owner had really looked after it , so there is nothing really to do on it, just enljoy driving it (with the roof down as much as possible !) to do . might re-do the alloys i n a dark grey that would set off the Maldives Blue bodywork. There is some great help on here too. Cheers All.

It's also looks very current for a 2003 design - I was looking at Merc SL's that are ridiculously cheap, but now beginning to date. I was parked next to a 1-series cabrio, and they have a lot of similarities (apart from the same look, I wonder of its
The z4 was the work of Anders Warming according to Wikipedia, and the 1-Series was by Christopher Chapman, but I guess they were following Chris Bangles design book.

Thanks for the update (missed you first time round). Lovely looking Zed you have there. I agree the styling doesn't look dated (unlike the early SLK's IMO). I know what you mean about simply enjoying driving it. I'm fortunate too in that the previous owner seems to have looked after it. I just turn the key and enjoy. And I agree - that straight-six so smooth

Wish I'd never sold it! I've had a clio 182 since and its drained me of £3500. Tomorrow someone's collecting it for £850

Argh ! - sorry - to hear - Switch to a German make :). Car is still running well - gets lots of good comments. And it is bloody rapid !

I was originally looking for a 3.0l but I think I might've killed myself by now if I had bought one. Anyway - finding a nice looked after car was too good to pass up.
