Just came on what is this yellow dash light?

Yes, as others have said that is a warning for a bulb out somewhere.

Don't leave it too long though. I ignored it for a few months on my E90 because it was a tail-light on the boot-lid that was out and the one on the rear wing was fine. Turns out it was a broken wire in the loom for the boot lid, but I also had to get the control unit reset because it had recorded the fault too many times!

It is a general bulb failure. Turned out to be the drivers from angel eye. Pita to get to but I lifted good and closed and now it works and indicator is off. I didn’t have the manual with me in car. Thanks.

If the angel eye burns out, it’s cheap to replace. One BMW “specialist” Indy shop told me the whole headlight must be replaced. Another fixed it without me asking. It was that simple and cheap.

I had that light a few times and it came on again just after cars MOT. Inspector spotted it and said if it had come on during the MOT it would have been a fail. He helpfully checked all the lights but non were out. Checked for fault code and there were non showing and light hasnt come back on. So possibly a loose connection or something.

There are two bulbs each side on the rear and one was out but looked like all lights were working. Replaced a bulb and the dash light went out.
