Just bought this only an hour ago, managed to get an SI, happy man.

Well done Gary. Nice looking Zed there.
Dont worry about the lights.... Worry more about that whippy !!

Lovely

The lights are bi-xenon, so high beam is switched on by a plate sliding down to expose the whole bulb in the main light. The inside lense is 'fake', just used for side light placement.

Thanks for the information, it makes sense.

I have Xenons on mine and they aren't great out of the factory in standard.

Some members (including myself) have adjusted their headlights up a couple of turns on the adjusters. I have to admit I was very dubious about doing this. I was worried about moving them out of proper alignment/MOT spec so to speak, but once I did they were much much better on the road and I haven't been flashed by on coming traffic once in the 10 or so night time journeys I have done.

Might be worth a go if your not happy with them.

You only need to worry about the whippy if you are concerned about the envious glances from stubby owners! A whippy should be a cherished thing. I polished mine at the weekend - it looks no different but it gave me satisfaction! :P

Yay!!

Finally sorted a 'good one'. You've done well to be as patient as you have there Gary rather than buying on impulse.

Good look with what looks a gorgeous car. Enjoy the experience!!

Discs are rusty, I'll clean them up and fit new pads. The car hasn't done many miles and has been sat in a garage. Front rims could do with tidying up from a lady driver. Center dash trim (black piano) lacquer is peeling. I might inquire for a price The wipers work well but park in different locations, sometimes in the right place and most times a couple of inches high which is annoying. Apart from that, there's nothing much to do.

Its probably far cheaper to get the piano black trim refinished at a decent body shop.
I think 1 trim alone is well over the £300 mark to buy from the dealers.
For about half of that you could have a decent paint shop repaint all three. So all three will be factory fresh then for half the outlay.
Might be worth investigating.

I hardly do either, but had to the other evening, 45 miles of country roads ... scary. :)

Nice to see you have that hard to find feature of misted up fog lights.

Some people have retro fitted the fogged up fog lights!

congrats bro... I have just bought one with same colour/ wheel combo... I'm loving it more and more every day!

Real pain in the ass to clean though right! I cleaned my car twice yesterday but it just gets dirty so quickly.

I think my next car is going to be camo.

I came home from work early to have a little play, 1st job was to get the wipers parking. I cleaned the motor contacts as per sk93s instructions, (good man).

I've had a bulb failure indicator a few times but couldn't find the failed bulb, it came on tonight so I jumped out and it was the front side light which is a mini Halo, what bulb does it take?

Fantastic colour combination OP!

Don't know what is wrong with Z4 Xenons? After the Halogens on my previous 123d and current 325ti they are like lasers - maybe it's more an eyesight issue. :D

Enjoy!
