Just bought some 107's - Questions!

Hey guys,

Just bought these:

As you can see, paid £180 for them which I thought was pretty good? What do you think on their condition and stuff? The pictures look good I thought. I asked him a few questions before buying and this was his response:

"Hi I've got no boxes for the wheels but could put them in bubble wrap. The wheels have very few little marks on them, been on the car from new. The repair is in the inside of the wheel, I did not know till I removed the wheel off the car but made no difference in the cars handling. They could do with new centre caps you can get them on ebay for 15 to 20 pound thanks"

I'm struggling to see any repair, in the listing he said 'as you can see pictured' - Do you think it's that slight chip in the last picture?

Anyways he said collection in listing but in message he said I could arrange a courier and he was fine with that. Any recommendations for this?

Also now looking for tyres, by the looks of it the Vreds seem to be the most popular choice on here followed by Falkens...So does anyone know where I can get a set for the alloys? Would prefer part worn due to obvious savings! Can't see much on eBay unless I'm looking in the wrong places?!

Bubble wrap will do diddly squat for the wheels, they really need to be flat in boxes to minimise damage.

www.Interparcel.co.uk is who I use a lot though.

I do like a bargain :wink: Ranski do you think they look alright? Suppose it's hard to tell from pictures! BTW your car looks flipping awesome, very jealous :evil:

So ideally they would need packaging like this (taken from courier website):

Alloy Wheels - Goods need to to be individually wrapped with cardboard over the face of the alloy and then fully enclosed with bubble wrap or cardboard with an address label put on each parcel.

Hopefully the seller will be happy to do this...

Well yes he has in eBay messages, have just sent him a long message now confirming things before I send over dosh...

I always find you can pick up a bargain on listings that say collection only caus most of the time they'll agree to deliver when asked/pushed! Not as many people bid because they're too far away and don't ask so means you get it cheaper!

Anyways, I'm awaiting his reply...2nd high bidder was only £5 behind me :? It was literally a last second punt!

I'm in Bristol mate, remember you posted me that fog light..?! It's still looking good :D

Would love my car looking like yours but don't have the time/effort/money etc, plus eventually I would like a Z4MC :driving: so don't wanna spend money modding the car (yes I know massive contradiction as I've just upgraded my wheels!!!) but felt the 103's were letting it down.

I was on my way up to the point of the bourbon ha ha,,,

I went to london for my 108's a couple of weeks ago otherwise we could have done a transfer.....

If you want to leave them at mine its not a problem

God darn it, should've said Cadburys chocolate! Wow that's still a long way to go for some wheels, thanks for that offer of leaving them at yours, let's see what the seller says...
 
Can't really tell much about what damage may have been repaired. Yes, I can see something has been repaired in the last picture. Good luck with getting them to you! A very good price and I hope the wheels are in good working condition.
