Got this a couple of days ago after it went through its mot so thought i'd post up.
2011 2.5 M sport in very nice condition and only done 18,800 miles.
Now looking at getting car play for it and learning to use all the tech

Nice looking car.

If you haven’t already the first thing I'd do is get the 326's off and check for cracks on the inner rim. Then get i the boot and remove the securing arm above the battery and lift out the roof motor to check for any water ingress. Finally remove the boot trim and rear lights and check that the rubber seals on the rear of the lights are all fitted correctly.

After that enjoy the car and get some miles on it 👍
 
🤩 super low miles! Regardless of this, if there’s no record of salmon relays being replaced, make that your first preventative maintenance job. They’re not expensive and easy to fit.

Look up Mr 12 Volt for the MMI carplay...welcome!

That is super low mileage. I would be interested as to the service history of a car that has done an average of just over 1,000 miles per year for 15 years.

What are the salmon relays? I recently got a z4 also.
 
Thanks for all the replies guys, very useful info which i'll go through so i can keep this car as nice as it is now.
My first real job will be cleaning and treating all the rubber seals which i'll do tomorrow, roof, boot and doors. I've used Gummi Pflege on my previous cars which seems to do the job nicely. I thought the mileage was a typo when i saw the advert but it checks out and matches up with the service history and mot history, the car feels like new to drive and is putting a smile on my face.

Thank you, i found it by accident and was only 3 miles away from where I live. It feels newer than my low mileage 17 plate SLC which this has replaced

Very lucky for sure, i still keep looking around it to find faults and yes i love the seats, really comfortable as well as a great colour but guess the colour is a love hate thing

Thanks, its just had its mot and no advisories but its going on my brothers ramp at his race car shop in the very near future for a full inspection underneath along with engine oil/filter, air filter, brake fluid and drain and check the diff oil. Will make a note of looking at the things you mention. My to do list grows !
 
It feels newer than my low mileage 17 plate SLC which this has replaced
When I got my 23i it had 13k on the clock, first thing I did was an oil & brake fluid changes. It still felt like new at 38k when I sold it, brilliant car.

I think for the cost its definitely the way to go plus while its on the ramp we can have a good look underneath. It's nice to start with such a good car and I intend to keep it that way. Will be doing all the seals today after my 3rd or 4th cup of tea
