I guess it seems strange to love your Z4 3.0 when you have a Z4M parked next to it in the garage! But I did buy it first and it was, finally, just the car I have always wanted. We had owned a 2003 Z4 2.5, a 2000 Z3 2.5, a 2001 Z3 3.0 and a 2004 325 2.5 (business lease), but it was this car, in this color with this equipment that I lusted for, but always comprimising for one reason or another!

I finally got it in Nov. 2005 as an end of the model year car with lease and cash incentives -and - exactly what I always wanted! This is what it looked like just after pickup -

Over the next 28 months I enjoyed it as my everyday driver, leased through my business. I made a few mods but limited to being able to returning to OEM before turning in at the end of lease. Some mods are LeatherZ Arm rest, door pads, shift knob and clutch stop, Stubby antenna, Z4M Maderia Wood Dash (instead of Aluminum), Fiberglass Hardtop and prep, Z4M wheels & tires (saving runflats and Elipsoids for turn in), Black & White Roundels, Black out grills, Smoke headlight film, and Black out front reflector.

Here's some pics taken today to mark my new experience with this car! -

Recently BMWFS started offering 3.9% interest for 60 months,100% financing, on 2005 model year Z4 (possibly other models) leases, that are CPOed. Great deal on a used car in a credit crunch economy! BMWFS quoted me 5.9% so call your salesman for this interest rate! I got my payoff, which gave me a nice saving over paying the next 8 lease payments and end residual, Florida sales tax, dealer charges - -

BMW CPO! For those who are curious - I paid $195 inspection charge (required) and $850 premium. I have seen a lot higher charges reported on other forums! My dealer did a really comprehensive inspection including a "road test time period: 20 uninterrupted minutes". I now have 1 year, 8 months of full maintenance warranty left, then 2 years of CPO warranty after that.

Thanks to my Dealer AllPro Imports in Gainesville, Florida and Salesman Steve Burris, for treating me fairly and efficiently!

And the Z4M Roadster - A very exciting ride that I would not have been able to experience and enjoy without the super-low leasing numbers that came out 10/2006. It is now listed on [www.swapalease.com so we can order my next business lease.http://www.swapalease.com/VehicleSe...t=3&page=1&ResultsPerPage=10&vehicleID=330518

This is the only "authorized" kind of mistress I am allowed! After 24 years with my wife and 28 months with this car, I think I'll keep both!

Yeah, I missed seeing you guys last year. I'm definitely in for '08. Is the Merlot 3.0 (I think it was a 3.0) gone from the stable?

2003 Z4 2.5 Step - Great trip car as it didn't have sport and 2.5 did a great job racing up switchbacks to the Blue Ridge and on the Dragon.

Sold it after 3 years and 9 months. No problems. Had to sell as I had 3 Roadsters at one time! Became a real chore keeping the oil warm (haha).
Miss it!

Best!

This is a first - you're keeping the 3.0 and dumping the M!? Have to admit, the 3.0 is fixed up pretty nice though - enjoy the car. :)

Dumped? Nice cars like this don't get dumped! :?

I bought my 2005 Z4 3.0 because I didn't want to loose it and save it for weekends and more important for retirement.

But I still need a leased car through my business as I do not put on high enough mileage for a tax deduction equal to the actual expense of a quality car. While I have it, I can use the leased Z4M in that role until it is assumed or the lease is up. I will still take great care of it and enjoy it's performance and style! I really need the likes of a 5Series or even a 335 (which ever my wife will like me to buy for her to drive when it's lease is up). By then I hope to be retired and have a nice mix of vehicles (including our F150 Super Crew)!
I am so glad my Black Z4 3.0 did not get away! :trampoline:

Best!
