Hey guys, been looking for a while, then i had a deposit placed on my current car (BMW 120d Coupe) and started the proper search. I found one 2 miles away from me at Select Car Sales. The guy was honest straight away and made me feel comfortable. Printed off the guide i saw on here, and set about viewing and test driving it.

Wow, just got back from the test drive, deposit has been placed and i will be picking it up on Thursday......I can't wait!!

Spec - It is a standard Si Sport model, in Carbon Black. 1 Former owner, full BMW history. Just had Insp 2 done, on 62k miles.

Options it had fitted i believe are:

Multifunction f steering wheel
Storage compartment package
Seat heating driver/passenger
Park Distance Control (PDC)
Xenon Light
CD changer for 6 CDs
HiFi System Professional DSP (Logic 7)

I am only going to add my Parrot to it, and swap some interior pieces which have scratches from peoples rings!

Any ideas for any mods etc? I know i need a Stubby Aerial, which is the best?

Cheers

My first mods were a BMW stubby £25 and I removed the sound generator foam (firewall side).

Congratulations on the purchase  bet you can't wait

Ah ok - Ill get on that, aerial from BMW themselves or bought online? I need to start looking into the How To's.

The sound generator make much difference?

I'd get some overmats in there - otherwise the built-in carpet will start to look shabby quite quickly.

Good point, there is a mat in the boot, i think maybe just drivers, I will have to check mind.

My first suggestion would be a weighted gear knob, it makes such a difference.

Passenger one also missing. Don't think there is one in the boot, the one in the picture is actually the boot floor covering up the battery.

Can't understand why people remove the mats as there were standard equipment. I can only guess they were shot.

Nice motor! Congratulations. Like you I came to my coupe from a 1 series coupe (123d), and after nearly 2 years with the Z4 coupe I'm still totally smitten!! You'll have an amazing time bonding with her, good luck
