I managed to get some tax and supaguard thrown in but other than that, no, it was sticker price.
They had it up at a higher price (£14,995 I believe) the day before I found it but the recent weather had been putting people off and it was coming to the end of it's 60-day shelf life that this dealer use so they were keen to move it on.
Don't worry - I really don't think this was part-ex'd in for £10k.
In some places, you HAVE to transfer your stock elsewhere; therefore losing any money you could make on the car. In that event, it's better to let the car go and make just £500 (or £0), and make a sale.
Aahhh, ok. So moving the car on to someplace where it has a better chance of selling. Got it
That'd be a real bummer if you had originally taken the car as part-ex as you'd actually make a loss - unless the receiving dealer has to pay for it I guess.
Well, it's more about rotating stock, so people don't see it sat at the dealership for too long. It's about perception from the buying public, so you don't think "It's been sat there for ages, they'll want rid of it" or "It's been sat there for ages, BMWs obviously don't sell well".
