Morning,

First time BMW owner here! Always had a second car after giving up bikes and for the last 7 years its been a mixtures of Porsches :o . Fancied going back to a convertible and with Boxsters demanding big money for even the early ones i started to look at the Z4 and I've always loved the look of them. A good mate has a 330ci with the M54 engine and it really is impressive, so a 3.0 Z4 was my target. Anyway, I ended up with this beauty and I am really pleased with it :) Drives superb and everything is nice and tight. Going to get a paint correction done to get a deep shine and have the wheels refurbished. Only the NSF needs doing but will get all four done. Will be looking after it myself, always done my own spannering and fortunate to have a two post lift at home - anyone local more than welcome to use it  . Cheers.... Rich

Looks well that.. perhaps the money for a wheel refurb may be better spent on a nice set of 18s? would finish the car off nicely imho.. hope you enjoy your new zed  :driving:

That looks really nice. The 3.0 is a peach of an engine, sport seats as well

Great looking car, I've not seen a 3.0 litre in that colour. Hope you have many happy miles.

Thanks all for the welcome  I am looking forward to getting some miles in this week and getting to know the car 8)

I see your point however it has nearly new Bridgestones so thinking for now I will get these refurbed. It is probably a slightly softer ride with the 17s and with my back issues it might be the more comfortable option :D :D

I think the 17” 103s suit the design really well and were the wheels in the original roll out of the zed, along with 108s and the elipsoids.

Hi Rich and welcome to the forum with your Z4 - they look fantastic in Merlot.

Just a thought, but if only one wheel is scuffed I'd be tempted to just have 2 refurbed on the basis that you'll neve see both sides at the same time - and if you spend some time on here you are likely to get tempted into a wheel upgrade!

Another merlot Z4 on the forum. Seems to be a bit of a flurry of them at the moment.
That looks a cracker and glad you’re enjoying your new purchase.

Welcome aboard.
Lovely car, and a very generous offer to local owners to use your lift.
I can see Z-fix BBQs heading your way. :D

Thanks again for the welcome all, looking forward to spending some time on here :)

Sounds like a plan! Happy to do stuff for people if required or they can help themselves
