JUst bought a Z4 si 2006... door issue

Hi folks, im a newbie to the Z4, been a proud owner of a Celica GT.

Just a quick question, I dont know if anyone else has had this issue, I find it a bit stiff to open the drivers door, seems like the handle isn't unclipping from the hinge and just needs a wee extra pull *the passenger side is fine) has anyone had the same issue or could give me any pointers?

Im thinking about wd40 the locking mechanism and see if it helps

I had the same problem. It appears to be a stretched bowden cable. I changed mine and now it's a lot better but still not perfect. A few good threads on here how to change
 
You wait until the weathers hot ! They seem a lot worse when the cable is warm.

I find if you lift the outer handle quickly but not hard, it helps.
 
I had this issue on the passenger door,gave the locking catch mechanism a good clean and now all is good.
Try this first its the cheapest fix and nothing to lose if it doesnt work :thumbsup:
