Just bought 2005 Z4 and struggling with the phone!

Hello all,

I just purchased a 3.0 Toledo blue Z4 with just about every option. I am struggling with the Bluetooth / phone set up.

Just in front of the storage space (opposite the 6CD autochanger) is a large phone shaped slot with a connection of some kind. What is this? The main problem I have is that the telephone setup / voice control is in French and there doesn't seem to be a setting to change this (although, the rest of the system is in English). I have looked in the manual and it shows that in the settings menu there is a language selection but in the settings on my car there is no such selection. Please help?

And when that is all sorted, how do you pair a Bluetooth phone with it (iPhone 5)?

Thanks in advance!!!

No idea on the language set up but here is the blurb i have with my handbook for bluetooth connection

Will we be seeing some pics at some point ? IE now  :) enjoy the Z mate , great cars

The phone cradle connects one's phone to continuous power, as well as the car's telematics, essentially meaning you get a much better antennae, though there's much more to it than that. You can get cradles for various phones, but not for many more. Of course, you can connect to bluetooth without connecting to the cradle, but you do need to use the nearby paring button.

I too cannot help with language settings, sorry. Perhaps the setting is there, except it is in the French portion? Try decoding the French portion with Google (or similar) translate?
