Had a day out in the zed today. My first proper run since getting the beast back from London last week.

Got to say I was :D all the way to peak district and back! ok, its not a motorway cruiser but I knew that before I bought the car. Just very very involving ride and fun on the country roads, even for a novis like me! The car feels fast, engine sounds sweet (even though the missus was blasting girls aloud :x ), and it just feels right on those bendy twist roads.

Sure you'll feel every bumps and hear every grit you run over but that doesn't stop the enjoyment! I know its slower and less precise then the ///m but it just feels the right level for me :)

I'm very happy with the car! Its stunning to look and even better to drive. And its even managed 32mpg in total today despite the moderate revving and plenty of uphills  What more could I ask for?

Almost the same as us today after getting our 56'Z4Si on thursday - great stretch of coast road between Bridport and Dorchester, not the Pacific but what the hell, winding and bends!! I luv our motor, sugar pity it's the wife's really!!

You should snatch it back from her quick mate! The missus already commented how her 118d doesn't feel as "nice" as the zed, and is talking about her next car (I'll try and persuade a 123d). I should start hiding our spare key in the morning when she gets up before me

even opted not to have a pint in the peak district just so that I can drive it back again

Girls aloud - the coast road was awash with Muse!! Sorry, halfway through the 2nd bottle of a Kiwi Sauvignon Blanc!!

I'm on my second glass of cheap argentinian chardoney too :) I'm not being jealous of ///M owners but - SEs are far superior :P
