They're great roads actually - around "Mam Tor" in High Peak, Derbyshire. Less than an hours drive from Manchester probably about the same from Sheffield. Highly recommended for a Sunday afternoon cruise, lots of good pubs doing food and even the odd cave to visit, if you're that way inclined :)

They were quite quiet roads, though not entirely to myself - there were a few slightly bemused looking walkers, and even, randomly, a guy playing the drums on a hill in the middle of nowhere...

Nice pics and location

Just need to pick one for the monthly competition :poke:

Actually... they are good, maybe you shouldn't

Nice shots and a favourite part of the world for me. My wife's family originates from Castleton and were in fact owners of some of the caves you mention.

Hopefully you removed the bricks from your boot and reflated the tyres before that trip

Well, I nearly took the proper camera with me but decided not to at the last minute, I think a couple of flashes and the tripod and I'd have had the start of a decent picture there...

:)

lol, I certainly did - back up to the regulation 36psi and only jump leads and a tow-rope in the boot :)

I didn't expect it to be too cold today, but there was still banks of snow over a metre high where it'd obviously been cleared from the roads and piled up. Probably why I got a couple of odd looks driving through Castleton with the roof down :)

It is, of course, just a very standard 2004 3.0 Z4 in probably the most common colour option

Definitely will try and get to some meets over the summer - I'm in New Moston, North Manchester so the Yorkshire moors, Peak District is a quick blast to get to, ideal roads for the Z! :)
