Just a thought...

I just came across a S2000 group on Facebook with pictures via a friend of mine,... now i'm not a fan of the S2000 but the following pictures of a Z4 coupé wannabe drew my attention...
If something like this would exist for the Z4 roadster, then we could have a coupé in the winter and during the summer the sun on our face :)
What you guy's think of this?
i know for sure that if something like this exists for the z4 roadster i would buy it!

Good spot. Looks like its trying to be a Z4 Coupe. Not convinced and think I prefer the existing optional hard top.

There was a coupe style hardtop for the E85..... on Zpost.... most seemed to prefer the standard hardtop though.

I posted the question over there also, ... i'm going to look into this because i'm interested in this  :D

I prefer the existing hardtop, but something similar does exist for the Z4. Designed by a French company, but not sure how many they sold or if just made to order. I made enquiries and even got prices.

There's a thread on here somewhere

Yep - I just looked it up on their site.
That's the only one I ever heard of and emailed them too. way back The tread I posted had their response, prices, etc.

Never been a fan of that 'Austin Princess' look the S2000 has, its what put me off buying one when I got the Zed. Looks clunky with that 'glass on top, not very subtle.

I actually quite like the s2000 and the yellow one looks pretty radical, reminds me a little of the lenham conversion for the old MG midget and of course it looks like the z4 coupe. :)
If you're searching for a hard top for the z4 just go for an e89 :) :poke:

I never go for a e89, way to cruiser for me...
I just like the look of the Coupé and i'm sure one day i will go for an M coupé  but in the meantime a hardtop with the look of a coupé will do :P

Like the S2000 but not with that top  do like those rims on the yellow car :) did look at the S2000 but wanted a bigger engine and Auto looked at the NSX but would have meant a much older car

Why did you want the s2k with a bigger engine?

i had a S2K before my Z, and imo the 2.0 vtec is just as quick as my 3.0si.

Except with the lack of interior comforts and traction control; it isnt as nice... especially in the wet.. if your not paying attention it will punish you

Wanted a more lazy engine if you like not so revvy but had they done an Auto i most likely would have bought one as it was a good year or so before i had thoughts about buying the Z4 and the S2K was in my price range at the time and i like the styling.

Would i now swap my Z4 for one ? no way :D

Yeah that actually makes a lot of sense..... the lack of torque on the S2K means if your in the wrong gear you would be punished.... unlike in the zed where i often leave it in 6th even at 30mph!

Also if you wanted to drive it quick you do have to rev the beans off it.. and down a high street that makes you look like an idiot :fuelfire:
