Sometimes you wish you never started.
So thought i would knock down and clean rear brake calipers. Wanted to see what was involved replacing the splash plate.
Caliper off, remove the ebrake motor..................and hydraulic fluid pours out
I suspect me putting Dot 5.1 in the system which buggered up the master cylinder seals has also rotted the rear caliper seals.
New calipers are over £200
so have ordered 2 sets of rear caliper seals, £24 delivered.
I will clean the ebrake motor with some contact cleaner.
Now got to go all back together so i can dump it at work.
