So have replaced seals in rear calipers and rear brake lines....sort of.
Offside pipe union next to fuel tank snapped off.
So ordered a hand swaging tool to try fix the existing pipe.
If anyone interested, inside of caliper.

Water does seem to get in these as a earlier ebrake failure proved.
The small shaft is pitted, this was the left caliper, right not corroded.
Just used plenty of rubber grease to try keep water out.
Missing off photo is the circlip which holds shaft in place at top of picture and piston boot..

And caliper repainted.

What a pain, sometimes you wish you never started.
So left rear rubber brake line unscrewed from pipe easy, but the right snapped off
So had to get a swaging tool to reform the end of pipe.
Next problem limited space to saw off and file pipe.
Then wouldn't grip in tool die until i wrapped some copper wire around the end of pipe so tool die could grip it.
Brake lines look like aluminium with plastic sheath.

I do like the way you post issues and then proceed to go through the remedial processes on your own, without any input from anyone else.
I, for one, think you do a sterling job with whatever the problem may be (this week) and am interested in your monologues!

Must say, though, that my wife would not be happy with a grimy old brake caliper on the kitchen hob! :lol:
