Jonny Essex says farewell :)

Well I've been a member on here on and off since 2013 and I must say its had its ups and downs, but mostly ups and I've got to meet and talk to some great forum members over the years and been to a few meets. Thanks
Im happy my Z4 was appreciated my many on here and that many of her mods have gone to forum members, and the car it self….well that was sold privately few weeks ago.
It was always a very tough decision to sell the car after owning it from new and the amount of money, time and hard work I put into it but I just didn't drive it, 39k on a nearly 17 year old car just shows that I became too afraid to use it and the last 3 years the car only did 80 miles….yes covid had some say in that but still.
I wanted to say goodbye and thank you to this forum and its many valued members, and if you want to know I have a Abarth 595 in light grey now that I am modifying, not as much as my Z4 but enough to be content with, its a great car and I love driving it….definitely a “Pocket rocket” and much faster then my 2L Z4 and far more fun to drive.

This is Jonny Essex signing out, and your still welcome to say goodbye or not lol as I will still read any messages left.
Thanks :)

I’ve never met you but sorry to see you go. Enjoy your new car and how about some photos for old time sake.

Thank you, nice looking car, seats look much more comfortable than my E85
I had the standard in mine, terrible seats even in a slow 2L these Abarth Sabelt seats not only look amazing but great for driving in too. :driving:

They are lovely little cars, and so much better than the older models. I have the Comp model of that one, sets the alarm off of the car in the garage next to it as the Monza exhaust is so fruity and startup :D

Never seen that boot mat, where is that from?

Try “Abarth tuning” for the boot mat. Yes they are lovely little cars

Not seen that site, thanks for that.

Are you a member of Abarthisti.com ?

Hope the Fiat serves you well jonny, you could always post pics of your mods to it in the “other marques” section

Was good to meet you Jonny. Thanks for all the parts that have totally transformed my car, wish I was quick enough to have got the brakes and bonnet too though! Yours will live on in spirit through mine 🤣 9E19B8BD-D027-475D-88CF-40A1AE35D511.jpeg

Enjoy the new car,my mate had a 595 comp. too,and they are a hoot to drive.
Was always good to read about all your mods.

Just because you've sold the z , doesn't mean you need to say goodbye, hasn't stopped many others.

Never got to meet, but as said, enjoyed your posts, and chatting on here to you from time to time

All the best :driving:

Cheerio Johnny Essex you'll fit well with the "Can't afford a Ferrari so bought a Fiat" drivers.

Fix It Again Tony, you know that right?! 😂

It was a burgundy roof and was never red.

We never liked you anyway.

Make sure you come back when you buy an electric car and tell us the plans to fit a turbo to it.

Best of luck!

😂😂😂😂

I enjoyed reading about your modifications and I wish you all the best with your Abarth.

But you can still drop in on here even if you don't have a Z4 any more!
