Grumpy, that's the "Eagle Road" out of Gerainger. you can't see it from that photo but it's like a miniature Stelvio Pass. A coach wasn't the best way to experience it that's for sure. We did get to go up the opposite side as well where you can see the Eagle road much better. The snow up there was amazing, the road had only been open for two days when we got there.
This is a give way sign buried in the snow so you can see how deep it had been and why the road is closed for about 6 months of the year.
Some daft bugger had ridden up here on a mountain bike!

It is stunning Carol, you weren't kidding! As a snapper it took me a while to take it all in - kid in a candy shop springs to mind. To be honest all the bits of Norway we saw were stunning - apart from Stavanger on our last day, where we only went so the ship could re-stock. Unfortunately they re-stocked on the nasty Spanish whisky as well - yuck!
We landed at Bergen on National Norway day, the atmosphere was incredible with most people in national dress. There was an open air rock concert in the evening near the harbour at Brygen. We went along buit had to leave after just half an hour as the ship was leaving at 10-30pm. That was the thing I hated most about the cruise - being tied to a clock, it went against the grain a bit.
