Has anyone replaced the Joint Seals before? Part #11

These are looking split on the ends and deteriorating.

Not changed them yet but mine are looking old and split. I took them off to give them a thorough clean so can see that they’d be easy to replace but not entirely sure what their job is. Have a recurring ‘watch’ on items in eBay but at £40 each I’m not in a rush to buy unless or until I find cash down the back of the sofa.

Same on my car, don't do much.

Just helps stop water going into gutter around boot and might reduce noise.

Yes last year. Mine were split and looking sorry for themselves. Very easy job and quick.

Ordered for $40 USD ea. from ECS Tuning in Ohio. One of those things that if I don't replace them now.. next year they will be $100 ea...

Changed both mine as split not cheap for what they are

I replaced them with rubber weather stripping with 3m tape on the back. Seal better than oem.

That's idea, can the rubber bit be pulled of the plastic strip and a proper U channel rubber pushed on.

I just took the plastic completely out. The rubber set down on against the plastic mounts. $8 a roll beat $40 a piece.
