I know, pictures etc. will have to wait til tomorrow at the earliest.

Bought a Z today, travelled down to Yorkshire for it from Edinburgh and had a good wee drive back up the road.

2004, just a 2.2 which is absolutely fine for my usage, grey, 103's (I think), so very standard spec. A few small marks on it which I'll sort out in time, 70,000 miles on the clock. Very happy with it.

First thing I want to do is get capability to play my iPhone through it, so either aux or one of the Bluetooth options.

Just in time for the summer, bet you had a great drive back

Hope to see you around Edinburgh at some point and at one of the local meets :)

I think summer may have been today...had the roof down most of the way home (some dark clouds appeared at one point) and my girlfriend has just pointed out that I have a sun burnt face!

Wonderfull isn't it

Don't be coy about it being a 2.2 - it's got 6 cylinders and that makes it a proper BMW engine.

Oh, I had a great time on the twisty parts of the road, the engine is great as far as I'm concerned, although it did get me thinking how much fun a 3.0 would be!

Could do with a good proper clean, so will be looking for advice on best products/process for that, maybe get it done next Sunday.

Also, a break down of some of the acronyms on here would probably be useful!

Did you drive back up the A68, it's a cracking road to drive on :)

I think it was the A629 and then the A65 before the M6, but that's a complete guess. I just trusted my excellent sense of direction, passed through Kendal after starting at Keighley. It was after the M6 and on the road through Biggar that I had my fun.

Thanks for all the welcome messages.

Apologies for the quality of these photos, I took them very quickly after I had parked up yesterday and I didn't have much space to work with!

I had parked it where the Mini is on Saturday night, but unfortunately there is a tree which covers that whole area, and the birds were able to use the bonnet as excellent target practice. From the size of the mess that was left I'm pretty sure we've got a few pterodactyls in the neighbourhood.
