Jet Fighter Switches

Has anybody ever done anything with switches like these (http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/161395783716?lpid=82)?

Have no idea what I would use them for, but I think they would look sick somewhere.

Thoughts?

Light switches or gadget controls in a man cave... Perhaps the 'ignition switches' for a wet bar 8)

I use to have hundreds of these. The B-52 has about 250 of them.

Show off :x Bet none of yours switched on a time machine or opened a peep show though :P

I'm not sure about that. A 45+ years old structure has to be a time machine.

Oh Gawd ...That would be so cool !

Bumpy

just be careful with cheappo versions of these switch panels. i don't know if its supposed to be this way but i got one for for my westy that was a switch with cover for the ignition and then a push button start. looked nice but then when installed i realised the cover turns the switch off when down. so there i was driving along cover open and first big bump the cover snaps shut and the car turns off (just like pulling out your keys). :D it was a pain i had to stop and get some tape an tape the chuffer open as it kept doing it! luckilly the first time was on a liitle road with no traffic but still damn annoying when the car just cuts out

Aren't they 12v only? If so, have to play some games with relays to get them switching mains voltages....

Dunno, I just looked at the pictures :D

Well, you know when I explained about how easy it is to do home electrical work.... well... just don't.....

I've seen plenty of fighters, and none of them had/have those.

If you are competent (qualification not necessary) with electrics, then give it a go - if you aren't, avoid like the plague.

Ensure it is earthed properly!
