Jeremy Clarkson does it again....

At least it has risen to the ludricous level now with the unions getting involved :)

At least Clarkson tells jokes, whilst the other party is a joke :D

another one of clarkson comments which have been totally blown out of proportion.

Taking legal action; referring it to the police.. for crying out loud... dont these union people have better things to do.... oh yeah I forgot.. they had the day off

Jeremy C is in some way the Beeb's successor to Murray Walker as had a mate who used to be a VT editor there. Back then, much of the conversations & comments when old Murray got things so wrong were scripted... just to get people talking. Am sure much of what JC has to say is said for the publicity and the ratings to sucker people in.

Don't take the cringe factor seriously, have a laugh & don't get suckered into taking it all as gospel, as all you're doing is feeding the Corporate machine you seem to hate most.

For all his sins, to have the people he has on his show, the fun they all have, good luck to them all

Tell me about it - I was in Birmingham yesterday. 5,000 marched somewhere of the thousands who went on strike. Rest seemed to go to the Bullring shopping or a family day out.

Could hardly get around the shops with kids and banner waving to spend my bankers bonus. Restaurants were full and roads blocked with traffic. Not a good day.

(It's a joke before I'm forced to ban myself  )

Operations grinding to a halt, millions disappointed with the lack of service, bins not collected, schools closed, queues everywhere at airports....
was there a strike as well?

what happened to freedom of speech. im glad clarkson can get away with making these comments cos my attempt would land me in jail :(

Anybody who took that seriously really does need to get a life and go and look for a sense of humour. Everything trade unions do is politically motivated. If some darling of the left had said it they'd have all chuckled.

Well I'm a member of Unison and I dislike all the 'professional union leeches' more worried bout giving money to some basket weaving commune for one legged lesbians in the Gaza strip than caring for their members the majoity of whichI'm sure take JCs comments as a (admittedly poor) joke.

I'd shoot them :D

You'd need a lot of bullets to shoot all the full-time Union officials in the UK, there's bloody hundreds of them!.... but that's another story! :x

It would be fun to actually run the country as a business and teach people what it is like in the real world.
I'd like to see civil servants live in a sales environment where salary is commission related.
Go through a period where turnover in the country is reduced by 60%, the value of the turnover left drops by 20% and salaries are affected accordingly. When i hear people out there moan because the level of their pay increase isn't enough (i know that isn't the current dispute) it makes my blood boil and, despite what the papers/press say, i think the bulk of people don't feel the civil service is hard done by.
We take too much for granted in this country, i'm afraid i don't feel we have the right to anything other than draw our first breathe and try and make something of our lives.
Ooops, time to leave the soap box, sorry :?

+1 roofless spot on

If there run the country like a business it would be bankrupt in the first year, oh sorry it is.

Roofless, want to run for PM???

Running the country on a sales & commission basis gets my vote any day...though can't see any CS taking a lower salary with a performance related bonus coz we all know why....

I say fair play to mr clarkson, hes an absolute legend. I really wish people would stop moaning about anything they possibly can and get on with what they have to do

Some of the jobs I have had in the past I have left because I didn't like some of the changes that were made to my contracts etc.
Simply put, if you don't like it then leave.

My biggest bug bear of them all is teachers, Yeah I know they have a tough Job but they get well paid for it and have more time off than a prostitutes undies, and seems to me they are always the first to want to strike.
They did not inconveinience the government, just hard working parents who have had to fork out more money for extra child care or take they day off unpaid because they are private sector and don't get paid if they don't work.
as far as I am concerned Clarkson was spot on.

My opinion and I am entitled to it.
