Think I have just seen one of the greatest drives in 30 years of watching formula 1, from dead last to the win Jenson Button you absolute star

No help. Simply the most incredible turnaround. Last place at one point. 6 pit stops (inc a drive through). Proves my thoughts that Jenson is the most gifted guy on the grid. GENIUS!!!!!!

I don't usually cheer and punch the air watching F1 but this time I sure did...an awesome drive for Mr Button

Not been a big fan of F1 over the last few years, well probably a bit more than that if the truth be told, but a few more races like that and I'll forget about the joke that is now MotoGP.

Well done Jenson, the best drive I've ever seen.

Can we have more of the same in Valencia including the weather if that is what it produces, absolute classic.

Edit.....

Glad I wasn't alone :D

it was a great race by button just felt sorry for schuey not getting a podium , but button was awesome the last 5 laps was like a disney movie !

I'm just back from the race on ÃŽle Notre-Dame, freggin wet, long day, but what a finish! :) And the sound of those cars... 8)

Jenson Button has to be one of the most frustrating guys to support.... he drives like that one day and like a complete turkey another day. It's like he needs hypnosis or something to bring out the best of him all the time, coz he's proven he can drive like a genius, he just needs some consistency!

I was so close to turning off when the FIA were wrecking the race with Health & Safety, but I am so glad I kept watching! :driving:

Button gives Vetel the finger :D
I loved Button mimicking Vettel's victory salute - very subtle but brilliant!

Echo what others are saying: an incredible drive from Button. And after that I actually like Vettel a bit more, the mistake shows he's more human than I thought! Incredibly I felt sorry for Schumacher not getting a podium though, that was a strange feeling to have...

Adverse conditions always seems to bring the best out of Jenson, a great drive in the end. Punched my fist in the air when Vettel made his mistake
Just a pity about the over use of the safety car, especially when using it to start the race. No such issues in the Moto GP at rain soaked Silverstone. F1 needs to man up! 8)

Why does everyone feel sorry for Schumacher ? From what I've seen he drives like a jerk and he's slower than the kids out there. He should have stayed retired.

What a fantastic race, I agree Jenson has got to be more consistent, when hes focused there is no one better, Vettell is a fantastic qualifier and while he has the fastest car will be out front, but as was proved yesterday he cracks under pressure and has done many times before,

Mercedes is just not competitve enough compared to Top 3. The other kids have faster cars. Schumacher can be on podium this season.

I,ve always been a huge fan of Jensen Button, I remember when he won the championship and everyone was like its his car, no he was just on form in that season!

I think the problem with Jenson is not necessarily his consistently, it's that he has to feel completely confident with the balance of the car and if it's a bit twitchy then he drives accordingly which results in less heat to the tyres.

Lewis on the other hand does not care at all, will grab it by the scruff of the neck, drifts it round corners and is very exciting to watch.

Did anyone else notice in Monaco, after the red flag Jenson was on prime, both Vettel and Alonso were on options yet he kept up with them, impressive.
