Jeeeez more problems!

Christ, these cars are rubbish!! My emissions light has come back on again so its going back to BMW again tomorrow, and then my central locking which has been making a clunk from the drivers door then decided to not unlock using the remote and I had to use the key to get it to open.

So thats about the 7th time in 14 months since owning the car that its had a fault. I cant believe how poorly built these cars are! Ive owned about 17 cars throughout the years 3 of which were BMW's and this is definitely the worst.

Im wondering if perhaps the 2.0 models of these cars are more unreliable and more prone to problems than the 6 cylinder models?!
 
Got the diagnosis from BMW today,... The cat has gone and the door lock motor needs to be replaced.

Thank god I renewed my warranty is all I can say add the cat on its own is £1000!!!!!!

Just can't believe the cat has gone , the car has only done 56k
 
Well, I do a 30 mile round trip each day to work, quite a bit of stop start in traffic but also do my fair share of long motorway drives...... No different to any other car I've owned but never had a cat go on them!!
 
Yeah I asked them about that and they said they had checked the emissions and they were showing to be out.

Sorry to hear of your problems - but for me 9 years of trouble free motoring.......... . So based on my experience BMW: build quality is superb as is reliability :thumbsup: :poke:

Sorry to hear of your problems - but for me 9 years of trouble free motoring.......... . So based on my experience BMW: build quality is superb as is reliability :thumbsup: :poke:

+1. Have had a few BMW's (320D, E39 535, E39 540 and none of them have ever given me any trouble whatsoever and believe me, they get a hard life. from experience they need to have been looked after.

Keep giveing her all the love and she'll straighten out :D
