Hi all
It's been approaching 7months since Jasper was hit by a car and almost died. His recovery has been nothing short of amazing, but that makes it sound like it wasn't serious. We were asked twice that night did we want them to revive him if he went into cardiac arrest. Within 4 weeks he'd had scans, x-rays, surgery, wires inserted, feeding tube through his neck into his stomach and he'd had the biggest fright of his life.

He's doing so well but still barely leaves the garden. With the recent lovely weather, we've all been spending more time in the garden and I've used that time to take so many pictures of all three of my cats. But since this is about Jasper, here's a few of him taken over the last few weeks. The photos where his mouth is open, he's chasing a piece of string that my wife is holding out of shot. But because he only has one eye, his distance judgement isn't great at times so he thinks the string is a lot closer than it really is.

I just love seeing him wander and play in the garden after what he's been through.

Yes....definitely. We had to feel our way and some decisions weren't ours to make.
Jasper made it easy to feed him with the tube because he'd just chill on the sofa and let us do it. But with his fur all grown back and back to full health, albeit a bit more nervous, it's great to see him do the simple things like eat biscuits!
