Jasper and the Z4

I did promise to post Jasper and my Z4 once he as healed....and yesterday, I opened the door to see him sitting on the roof. Despite it looking staged, it's not. He genuinely jumped up there on his own.

So I grabbed the camera and grabbed a few shots. They'll never be award winning but I'm ok with that. Jasper's recovery is, I would say, complete.
Mentally, he's still nervous and much more of a house cat but he's running around chasing the other two and getting chased back so he's happy and healthy and that to me, is priceless.

Thanks once again to those of you expressed support and wished him well. We both appreciate it!

Lovely picture. Great to see him fighting fit again.

I hope he keeps his finger nails clipped.

I would vote for it for next months calendar

Looks like he is announcing that he is back in charge

I don’t want to ask what happened to him but glad he’s on the mend and getting back to normal.
He’s definitely a handsome chap 😀
Cats are resilient and they appreciate a loving home.
Hate to think of anything bad happening to our little Rosie. She means the world to us.
I love all animals but have a real soft spot for cats.
It’s due to their mysterious ways and how elegant they appear.
Rosie on our fence looking at the sheep in the field behind our garden.

Hi...I've no issue talking about it.
He was hit by a car and taken to hospital. I got a call at 11:30pm one night in late October, thanks to his microchip. Head impact. Body ok thankfully.
Broken jaws (which both required wiring), multiple skull fractures, eye ulcer. Because of the damage to his jaws, he couldn't eat so had a tube inserted. He was fed via the tube using a syringe for about 10days.
Wires removed on 20th December.

Physically, he's fully recovered. Shaved fur has grown back, eating normally. But he's lost a lot of confidence and barely leaves the garden. I'm fine with that!
He'd lost an eye before we adopted him in 2014 so that's not a result of the accident.
An amazing recovery and we were asked twice about reviving him back in October...it was that close.

That’s awful. Poor little chap.
He’s been through a lot as have you with all the worrying too.
Must be a huge relief.
We don’t like our cat going out the front of our house and thankfully she rarely does. Even though we’re in a cul-de-sac.
She has our garden and a huge sheep field behind us to play in.

Jasper's confidence knock means that he's now much more timid and less likely to leave the garden. He literally follows my wife around the house which he didn't used to do. Barely leaves the garden but thankfully we have enough space that he can run, climb, explore, play all within the fence so he feels safe enough in the garden. I'm relieved he was insured....total bill was just short of £8k. But he got the best care and made a great recovery.

Great to see him back on top of life! Our Siberian is strictly a house cat unless he's on a leash. We live on the edge of a National Park and there are too many snakes and venomous spiders hiding in the forest for us to risk letting him roam freely, not to mention that he's completely naïve where cars are concerned.
