Japanese and their Z4 car mods

At least 95% of our used cars are Japanese imports. Most of the over-the-top mods (e.g. stickers/stripes bolt-on bits etc) get removed if they're illegal here, but some 'interesting' stuff comes through.
Here's a couple of examples currently for sale.
The first one has an aero front bumper I'm not sure I've seen before. It looks more like a standard facelift top half grafted onto a Z4M bottom (as the fog lights look standard facelift). Also has a different rear bumper to accommodate the quad-exhaust mod.
Still, at least they had the good taste to add a stubby :-)
I quite like the headlight 'eyebrows' blacked out, makes the car front look a bit more aggressive than usual.
Unfortunately the interior looks hideous (to me), doesn't appear to have been cleaned since it was new

This coupe has me intrigued. It is badged as 3.0, but I thought the coupes were all 3.0si, and either SE or Sport spec? Maybe the previous owner debadged the 'si' and left the 3.0?
It looks like extended leather, and cruise control (nice), but has anyone seen these seats before? Perhaps they've been retrimmed?

Those seats are the standard seats but with either New England or Walknappa leather. Standard seats with those leather types have that different stitching.
(being beige its New England)
Stock Leather is Oregon, which is a harder, coarser leather (New England and Walknappa are softer and more flexible, but were also more expensive.)

That first one looks like it has the z4m style fangs stuck on over the normal facelift bumper.
You can get them on eBay but they're expensive.

Thanks Guido - I wasn't aware of the stitching differences with the New England leather seats

My thoughts too - looks like two different bumper styles joined together...

Here's a close-up of that front bumper on a car I saw on a forum in Thailand.... the owner of this one seems to have added to it.

I've seen the kit available on Yahoo Japan Auctions, but can't remember the name of the tuning brand

Thanks for that
Interesting bonnet on your pic, as well.

Yeah - I think that's the VARIS bonnet... and following a quick google search, it seems to be the varis front spoiler/lip too

Not my car, btw.

I've seen your car in your intro thread - looks very good. Kinda figured the above one wasn't yours by the post you made

Just thought I would throw this in -
