Jamie's 3rd Z4! - Sold.

Dont think i have seen a facelift in sterling grey with a grey roof.

Not sure i really like the grey roof as much as they tend to look greenish grey after a while - but the 108's do suit the roadster so well.

Love how you even painted the back of the brake pads too!

it isn't sterling its silver grey, i wasn't took keen on the hood at first, as you say it gone greeny over the years but with the hood cleaner on it it seems to have gone back grey

haha, couldn't be arsed masking the pads up my bad.

The back of the pads silver actually looks better - makes the calipers look more meaty if that makes sense

also, just ordered the 'z4 essentials pack' on ebay

Stubby Ariel
LED plate bulbs
Aux lead
Silvatec front indicator bulbs!

How bizzare they fitted silvatec bulbs in the rears from factory but not in the front / sides :S

You forgot to add CSL reps to your starter pack.

Lovely car, glad you're enjoying it...

Must say, I'm very confused by you saying it's not the 'Si' version? I was under the impression the N52 engine was the Si version of both 2.5 and 3.0... Maybe someone could explain

You & me both my friend! I bought it on the premise it was a 2.5Si -- thinking the 'S' stood for Sport, but apparently , they do a 2.5i 177 M sport, a 2.5i 177 SE - then they do a high out put 2.5Si 217 M sport and a 2.5Si 217 SE!

Oh well!

Map is on the cards next month - taking it from 177bhp to 201bhp, will have to see what difference it makes :)

As Jamie found out SI relates to engine designation, and nothing to do with trim level. Combinations possible with N52 are

2.5i SE Roadster
2.5i Sport Roadster
2.5Si SE Roadster
2.5Si Sport Roadster
3.0Si SE Roadster
3.0Si Sport Roadster
3.0Si SE Coupe
3.0Si Sport Coupe

Gotcha. Was just unaware there was ever such thing as a 177bhp N52 engine. Thought the N52's were 215bhp(?) (as per 2.5Si) or ~265bhp as per (3.0Si) only!

Thanks for clearing that up

There's a lot of us round here hey! I loved that little drive - only ten mins up the road from me, I used to live in St Anne's but moved to Preston :)

I'm originally from Rochdale, so quite familiar with Mr Wilks and Taz's part of the world too. I'm often in Preston with work - down by the docks. If you are ever round that way, I'll keep an eye open for you.

for anyone who's intrested here's my previous (19th!) e46 on style 32's and coilovers, will miss this car but no where near a drivers car & i'm trying to get away from all the 'scene' bollocks rapidly approaching 30 :lol;

Sorry nothing exciting guys but want to keep journal up to date nonetheless

Just arrived in post £2.99 full canbus thingies

They ain't disco purple in the flesh

And gave it a quick mid week bath!

Zed looking good matey. One of the first mods I did was replace the rear number plate bulbs for these makes a huge differance at night. I Was thinking about changing my 108's then I see a pic like this and makes me realise just how great they look.

Paul

Thanks Paul! Yeah you can't go wrong for the price - I also was tempted with csl's but 108s look great when clean & I think I'm going to get some non-rft's as it tramlines like a mo fo!
