hi guys,
thought i'd make a new project thread for this seeing as photofuckit made a mess of the old one.
So rewind to september last year.
Id just about had it with my z4 coupe - after almost a year of constantly battling with its fragile components (water pump/ ABS hydro unit/ Electric power steering/ motorway vagueness) I threw the towel in and traded it in to WBAC with a failed ABS module and lost about 5 grand in the space of a year.
This didnt deter me from a Z4 though, i know the M54 engine well as ive owned no less than 25 E46's now (18 with the M54 engine in) And was on the hunt for an early Z4 without the problematic ABS module/electric water pump etc - i know no Z4 is without issues, but as i said, i know the M54 well and i can fix any issues myself relitivley cheap, a water pump is £50 rather than £350 for example.
anyway, was searching Ebay/Autotrader for all of a week- i found a titanium silver 3.0i se 2005 - it had a moderate spec which was black oregon leather, heated seats and style 107 ellipsoids - think thats about it - no MFSW/Xenons/cruise/Parking sensors - all of which i had on the coupe, none of which bothered me though as its only a weekend car. Went down to Bromsgrove in the midlands seen it and knew it was the right car for me, 144,000 miles with 2 owners and FSH and a stack of receipts.
Anyway after getting it home, i gave it a good detail and just used it for a couple of months as it was.

Being me, i couldn't keep it standard so along came some 'lo' springs ebay specials at £80 all in- plus a set of 15/20mm spacers

After this it lasted around a month, till i couldnt help but go down the usual JOM coilover route. these are for an E46 but with the Z4 sharing the majority of the suspension components , they fit no problem - the rear have no adjusters in.
.

Although it looked great on the elipsoids, i did a deal with Z4Pilot on here to buy back my old CSL reps, they are Atomic ones with the ET33 rears (9.5j) got some 235/35 rears thrown on , and again thats how it remained up untill about June.

Got bored of the atomics and had to get something a bit more 'extreme'
i ended up with some style 128 wheels off an e60 5 series, however they were reps as the OEM ones were 19s - specs were 8.5j front et25 rear 10J et30 - fitted with no issues at all and no arch rubbing etc.

Was kinda happy with this look, but got a text off Mike offering me his Sonar headlight at a good price - so then these went on .
My mate bought a Z4 coupe around a month ago, he prefered the black Sonar headlights and i prefered his chrome facelift non-amber front headlihghts - so we swapped.
This brings us up to the latest mod, the wheels. Latest ones are Keskin KT4 with the following spec-- Front 9.5J et35 (with 12mm spacers making them Et23) and rears are 11J ET35.

next years plans are a full respray, ive narrowed it down to 3 colours;
bright yellow
nardo grey
purple silk (f8* individual colour)
Comments welcome, i appreciate it wont be to everyones taste, so try and not just totally slate it
