Ok everyone

Jamesbond and Nick&sandra .. are the same member me

When I joined with nick&sandra I lost it towards the end .. and felt that I could not recover that membership profile

So I then rejoined as jamesbond to start afresh and not loose it.. which has now ended up going pear shaped as well, so I feel I need to accept that for me forums like this just frustrate me .. My day job is a technical safety leader for Procter & gamble so a pretty responsible job by all accounts, but a few years ago in that role I did have a 4 month period off work with depression.

All this has its roots form the overactive thyroid issue that I had .. but have never been the same since the radio active drink etc

so for loosing it on both accounts I apologise for .. and the undercover rejoin as jamesbond, but for me owning a Z4 and being part of a club etc was a important aspect of the ownership experience. Its a funny thing I can work on 11kv and 132Kv substations all day with no issues .. but I am in control .. but forums obviously no good for me, and to be honest when looking back some of my emails at work on occasions I have a streak of this behavior at well.

so coming clean I feel better now getting this off my chest etc

But one thing that really surprised me and caught me off guard with some members was the cold rudeness which I felt was not deserved ... I know I lost it in the end on both counts but when you look back only after I had to put up with some unnecessary rude posts because people found my posts irritating or repetitive etc.

But I had numerous example posts where I was trying to help fellow members with their issues and technical problems that I had fixes for, as I have owned a few models now since 2003 .. But for me I was never rude and un polite (I know I was when I lost it but so where others) plus I don't get pissed up but I may have a glass of red or 2.

Anyway the Z4 has been sold, but it is up to that person to share if they want to as they are debating to join this forum currently .. so not for me to say

Anyway i wish you all good health and happy zedding ... sorry for loosing it on both occasions / for now my partner has told me all this forum stuff is unhealthy for me so need to leave it for a while

Good luck Nick.

As I said to SK93 when he felt it was getting too much, there are always a number of people that will not behave in the way that you would hope / expect. Blocking / blanking those you do not want to see works for me and I will not respond or post on those threads. There are also a lot of good people on the site that make up (in a positive sense) the balance.

Whatever you decide to do, all the best with that.
 
Shame to see you leave, but if it is best for you then do so.

I personally think a few members overstepped the line on the last thread. I expect they know whom they are.

To be honest some of the members are right, on occasions I do leave my self open ... but I have lost it on both occasions now, which I don't see other members doing ?

I have had some great nice PM's during the day .. so on the whole I know people on this site are a great bunch .. for me now for a while I am trying to start my valve amplifier business

I don't know you jamesbond but I have never seen anything from you that would upset me. I wish you all the best with your health and hopefully another zed will come your way and we will see you back on the forum fighting fit

And mine. Nothing you have posted has offended me in any way. I leave forums if I am not happy with the people and/or the car. My experience here is mostly very positive compared to some others !

Whatever you buy / end up with I wish you well.
 
Sad to hear about all your problems in life but maybe you should just not post everything that comes into your head.
You really should try and keep your personal life to yourself, family and close friends.
It is a forum and anybody can comment on anything you post whether you agree with them or not.
You have obviously thought about buying another Z which would be another M and that would take your tally to 9 Zs, so you seem to like them.
You should continue to use the forum as it can be very useful, entertaining and interesting as well as a distraction to TV.
Just before you post anything have a think about whether or not you are letting the world know things they do not need to know.
Good luck on your choices.

You see a lot of people getting it all sideways on forums, you spun out for sure but with such an honest post it looks like you managed to avoid totalling it :thumbsup:

I don't think you have anything to apologise for in terms of coming back under a new identity.
Several others have also done it before.

Maybe you thought I was one of the rude ones earlier but I will never personally insult anyone. I was irritated by some of your threads, and i did think there was an element of attention seeking. So that's why i expressed my views. Most of the time you have amused me, in a positive way, with your comments on threads. Sometimes they are quite random, which I also like. As someone said above though, this is a Forum. You shouldn't post on them if you can't take criticism. That goes for all of us. But that criticism should never resort to abuse or name-calling.

Lord knows there are some members on here who really piss me off (and I suspect other members feel exactly the same about me) but I've never blocked anyone and if I feel in hindsight I've been too harsh I've PM'd the person on the receiving end to apologise.

Good luck for the future and I hope you enjoy your next car.
 
I do think that some people are prone to taking things posted on here too seriously. As previously mentioned if certain members do cause you upset, then blank them. Also, if you think that the title of the post is likely to rile you, then don't read it! For example, having read the original post about the member who recently hit a dog, I chose not to read any subsequent posts and I thought that it had a lot of potential to really p1ss me off, and I don't come here to get p1ssed off. (I have other places I go to for that! :D )

Joining this forum was one of the best things I have done - after buying the Zed in the first place. It has given me a lot of information and amusement and I have met some guys who I now regard as friends. That all said, it is not the most important part of my life.

Whatever you choose to do, I wish you well, but if you get another Zed I would urge you to give it another go back on here.

Forums are all about free speech So you have nothing to apologize for. It's good to kick back after a hard day and say what you think. Others don't have to read it, if they don't want too, but of course they are also free to reply. Keep smiling and keep an eye on the classifieds. :thumbsup:

And they can do the same to you when you post 'banter' relating to news of a £12k engine fix.

Or on a new members first post about his pride and joy

Hi

Before my partner pulls the plug on me

but the above post on reflection you are correct .. as a members 1st post about a expensive repair bill on his s54 .. they may have not found amusing, but I was polite with my banter,

My point is that I did not call them a bellend or a total looser for making the post in the 1st place . anyway, all this is old ground
