Jaguar XF - The modding has started

I’m sure a few of you would be disappointed if I had not started to modify my XF so here we go with Phase I now done.

The basic design I’m working to is ‘OEM+’, so in essence if you asked the question of any change or part, could or should it have been built this way?
Not to everyone’s taste being a Jag, not a BMW (especially the brakes on the Jag forum where it’s a big worry to them  ), but I love it and already it’s got a lot of compliments from people who I would not have expected.

Since setting eyes on my chosen XF I’ve made the following modifications and changes (some as retrofit at the dealers before supply and some subsequently):
Aerodynamic kit fitted (front bumper and side skirts)
LED blades (OEM factory design)
Black mesh grille and lower mesh grilles blacked out
20” Senta’s added with ‘Classic’ red Jaguar centres
Calipers in red and new black anti rattle springs fitted
Mudflaps all round (modded to fit side skirts)
New style ‘S’ badge on rear
Narrow plates (legal) without any drilling of new front end
Rear XFR 2012 rear bumper trim (the white bit wrapped over the tailpipes and gloss black finned diffuser (LMAO as one tuner worked it out, a few of us ordered them and now there are none in the UK for several weeks)

Next the interior where a few changes are needed and I expect highly polished fine grain oak to soon become piano black or carbon fibre….

And of course the calipers before and after just to show BMW are not alone in them rusting away

Utterly gorgeous CJ. Agree and think the mods youve done so far take it into the realms of how it should have been put together. Looking forward to seeing the interior before/afters.

Actually you make a good point about before and after. I should find a picture.
Thanks for the compliments :)

Looking great CJ. Good to see your modding addiction is still shining through. You not fancy a quad setup then? :poke:

The XFR diffuser is designed to accomodate a quad tip system :)

Very nice indeed.

I was hoping this model would depreciate as much as the s-types did so I can eventualy afford one - but with looks like that I'm sure residuals will be pretty solid..!

Well it'd be rude not to!

I love the XF and white is starting to grow on me - being completely honest I'm still unsure of of the front end in white. Those wheels though, stunning

Looking good - be very interested in what you do to the interior as I'd love one of these in a few years but so many have wood and I can't stand it!

Oooh lots of appreciative comments -

In terms of others getting one. You might be suprised. Jaguar is subject tot he ame ill as any other manufacturer, only witht he XF being an Exec bus even more so. You can pick 'em up for peanuts, although the much sought after twin turbo diesel really holds up well.(It can fetch £8k more than it's slower, higher tax, less economical 3l petrol sister)

Porcelain is what actually did it for me. A very sepcial off white with real depth.

Interior - yes it has wood, but I have the least offensive in dark oak, so it's like grained lighter piano black. Some are horrible (to me) in walnut burr or worse of the pack some sort of American teal that looks like decking planks from B&Q. Thankfully Jag do piano black now :)

Looking very nice. Classy and sporty (for a barge)

Before pics would be good to see. It's easy to forget what's actually not original.
The calliper paint is a little orange, but I like th idea with the matching wheel badges.

ohhh i love it!!! i Want one!!!! know that lane Really well, we should meet up on their for some photo's and a chin wag :-)
