Jag Arrived at Last

Well after the 10 day wait I took delivery of my XF yesterday. Busy with work so just had to park it up ane leave it in the rain

Today was a full day with her. First thing I noticed was the dealer had done a great job cleaning the interior but the exterior was a mess. Basically just wax over the top of all the impregrated dirt and tar spots.

Gave me something to do with a full clay, swirl remove, Porboys, sealant and wax.
Came up simply stunning

It's been something of a discovery as I purchased the Jag before the dealer had produced a spec sheet so it was something of a guess, but I could tell it was well loaded. Extra to standard spec:

top line audio with subs
digital TV and DAB radio
Reverse camera with direction aid software and front pdc sensors
Sat Nav
tilt/slide Sunroof
bluetooth
electric rear sun blind
Extended and soft leather
Heated windscreen
Replacement headrests with DVD, audio and games console built in

and I'm still finding stuff
Only thing I may do is the rims that although 18" look like they would benefit from 19" or 20", but we;ll see.

Next to get used to is no gear lever - just a dial, no handbrake, just a switch and no key, just comfor access with proximity

I do think that the XF is such a nice looking car, not pipe and slippers of old

Very nice. It could be a bit of a photo illusion but the wheels look very small on the car?

Thanbks for the nice comments everyone.

Mafoo - They are actually 18" which is an upgrade over standard of 17". Trouble is they still look small, which may be due to their design and the size of the car. There are other oem XF rims in 19 & 20", so I think I may moce to one of those

Nice ride. Love the rear end!

I think 20's would look great, as long as it don't affect the ride to much

Thing that struck me when i had a look at an XF was the interior, the leather and the whole look seemed wonderful.
Thing you've made a great choice, enjoy  :driving:

i have always liked the new lineup of jags... looks great and so many toys!

personally though i dont mind those wheels... and on a cruiser like that i would prob keep 18's and not go for 19's or even 20's which will no doubt compramise the ride.

easty - have you sat in or driven a jag in the last 2 to 3 years? The brand has been totally re-invented. They are so way ahead of any of the other makes on the market right now in terms of interior, looks, street image, etc. Makes 5 series and the big Mercs look old and staid. I would not however have had any of the previous generation of Jags if you'd paid me.

Of course it's no Zed or 2 seater sports car and at 32 you probably have other needs, but the make has clearly moved to a new generation now.
