Jacking Points/Trolley Jack recommendations

think ill order one of those jack pads, awesome idea...

OP are you happy with it?? decent quality?? no drawbacks to this??

Only ordered it today. A lot seem to be made of metal, this one is vulcanised rubber so little chance of it damaging the paintwork underneath the car

Facelifts are the same as M for jacking points. I use some folded shop rags to pad the jack so as not to mung up the bolts at the rear jack point, and not mung up the bottom cover at the front. Couldn't say for pre-facelifts, but should be something similar available.

For the side points, some sort of insert is definitely highly desirable. I just use a small block of wood with a screw jammed into it which drops into a hole on both my jack and axle stands.

Just bought one of these in an attempt to minimise potential damage caused by jacking...

I picked up one of these when I first got the Z.

It works well, although you will need to remove the cap from your jack, as it will need flat surface for the pad.

I've got a halfords jack. I have had it go straight under, but last time I had to drive the wheels onto some wood to get it high enough. Only needs lifting about 1cm. With one of these adapter thingybobs you may have to raise it further... although they do look a good idea.

I have a low profile jack from machine mart does the job also have a jack pad mine has a cut out too so can use it on the oem jack points on the mrs focus and parents megane
