Jacking point confusion

Are my jacking points different than everyone else's?

The rectangular jacking points under my Z4 have some kind of a round peg that sticks downward out of the centre.
But none of the jacking point adapters available on line have a hole to accommodate the peg.
I feel like if I use one of these, it will either mash the peg or the whole car will be balancing on an area the size of my little finger

I've googled a lot and no one ever mentions this peg. Is it just me?

Can't see the image you have posted, but it sounds like the 'spring sided' peg that holds the jacking mount in position.
Is the jacking mount loose?
Mine was the same - a light tap sends it flush and tightens the mount up somewhat

You can also make your own adapter from an Ice hockey puck - thread on here somewhere if you do a search

Had exactly the same on mine. Simply push the "pin" up into the jacking point. Mine didn't require any force to push them in.

Stupidly simple solution but all four were sticking out so I thought it was by design.

Dob of white paint on bottom of protrusion place adaptor in situ and drill hole large enough to accept protrusion on paint transfer mark, job done. Cheers Baz
