HI,
I have just bought some new wheels for my Z4 and forgot that the car has no Jack.

Does anyone know which type of Jack is suitable for a 2003 Z4. I was going to take them to a local tyre fitter but i'm not sure they will fit in the car

The jack from a 3 series e46 will do the job.

Any idea how much clearance there is? i.e. will it still fit underneath with a flat tyre?
Yes, it will fit...

However, for changing wheels when possible I would prefer a low profile floor jack and stands just for safety.

I also second a trolley jack... i wouldnt bother with an e46 type one... unless you want to carry it in your car.

PeteUKZ4, there is a BMW Jack kit that can be obtained which can be use in emergencies.

:o i take that alloy face down is either an old wheel or that timber is keeping it clear of the ground

X2 on the low slung jack.

Hi,
Used a mates e46 jack in the end, fits perfectly into the jacking points under the sills.

New wheels fitted, really pleased with them.

I bought the Wheels off ebay, I paid £550 including Excellent Bridgestone run flats, 1 brand new rear, 1 rear with 5mm and both fronts with 7mm

Got lucky as they were only 30mins from where i live and the guy had looked after them superbly before replacing with some 19" wheels.

a mini cooper , jack fits the oem jacking points too i keep this in the car but in the garage use it till my trolly jack fits under
