jack and foam!

hello everyone
i need to buy one of those tyre foam pack thingys and i also need to buy a suitable and compact jack.
but i have no idea of what to buy......can anyone help

bmw has special kits for you!

ive got a tyre repairkit with those stringy things (look like a bifi sausage but thinner)and a small compressor on board
 
contradiction in terms, if you need foam then you don't have a spare tyre so therefore you don't need a jack ...
 
i thought that if you are going to pump the tyre (a non run flat tyre) with foam then you have to jack up the car as otherwise the weight of the car is going to make the bottom of the tyre flat.
Will the foam pump have enough power to inflate and seal the tyre if the weight of the car is on the tyre.
The reason I ask is because when i had motorbikes i used to use the foam pumps and they would only work if the tyre was raised off of the ground.
 
I have the TyreWeld kit from Halfords and the instructions don't say anything about jacking the car up. Also, the M doesn't have a jack with its mobility kit.

I have bought an E46 space saver wheel for longer journeys... I bought an E46 jack (on eBay) the top of which fits the Z4 jacking points perfectly. CJ made a good point the other day, it's worth having a spare wheel anyway, even if just to get you to the local dealer. If you are in no hurry you can keep an eye out for bargains, you should be able to get the wheel and jack pretty cheap :wink:
