Jabs

Being an oldie (over 74) I got  the call for my latest Covid jab - got it today. I seems that they call potential recipients these days.
Hopefully this will keep me clear until the Autumn jab comes along!

Ps
I only post for the benefit of any other oldies who may be eligible- so please don’t let my post descend into a jab/ no jab debate

Like the last one during early Covid. Exciting times, angry people, quotes from 'experts' gathered from the internet, meek men turned into warriors, overreaction on a massive scale. No please, not again. 8)

I wasn’t aware of the availability so its only a heads up for any interneted oldies.

Apparently over 74yrs old

Had mine today Ron at the GPs. My good lady had one yesterday. But we had to pay for hers because she is only 72. For it to be free she would have had to wait until October. Not cheap but worth £100 at Boots in Lincoln. It ‘s the first time it has been possible to have the vaccination when you choose if you are willing to pay.

Covid? Almost forgot the word TBH. :poke:
That is sooooo 'year before last before last'.

The world has moved on to other more important things, like 20mph zones in Wales and whether Iran are going to spark WW3. So much news, so little time.

Covid will kill more Brits than Iran this year. That is for sure. If there's a jab available I'm in.

Yes I agree. I was being facetious! :D

But because Covid isn't 'trendy' anymore the likes of me won't get a vaccine, as apparently I'm too young! 3 Years ago my 15 year old daughter had one; now being late 50s doesn't qualify unless you are on benefits; cos we have keep the gene pool strong! :poke:

Having just caught it for a second time on the way back from Dubai end of last week, I'd still say if you can get the jab then do - it's a fucking miserable illness!

I'm probably too young as I only reached 65 today.

But I should be eligible for a shingles jab now!

Anyone can have a COVID vaccine now. As long as you are willing to pay. Boots will do it for £100 a shot. Peanuts to someone like you. 😜

70 and had it three times. Had worse colds so like previously, will only get vaccinated if we can't travel without it.

No longer testing so can't catch it if you don't test for it

Hah! I'm too young for the free covid jab, but too old to get the shingles one on the current roll-out rules.
