iwatch preorder

I know theres a few watch and tech fans on the forum, so has anyone got an order in?

Put in an order for the black steel iwatch/bracelet. Not sure about the other apps tech but I'm slightly excited about the programmable/configurable watch display...

I assume you ordered this on the 10th and not today. If you do a search there are a few topics re this with only a handful of people thinking of getting it.

I had initially fancied one but at he price and the fact that in a year or so it will possibly be old tech I thought I'd wait, try one and maybe wait for a further iteration and instead I purchased a new proper watch

Don't think I'll be getting rid of proper watch collection though, just another alternative and something to play with techwise.

I thought they'd be pretty useless - though i went in to play with the new macbook (i've been waiting for them to make/release it for ~2 years+), ended up trying on an iwatch.. not bad! not bad at all... shame the price was £850 for the one i liked.

I wouldn't pay the price of these for what it is - I'd rather spend the money on a nice proper watch, as Angie has done. It's bad enough that iPhones and iPads seem to become pretty useless (in terms of the newest iOS) within 3 years, without adding a watch that costs the same as either of them to replace.

I'll get a MK1 when MK2 comes out and there's loads on eBay. Learned my lesson with tech.

I am intrigued as to how any 'i' watch is going to pan out. I fancy getting a Vector Watch to see what the fuss is all about and they start at £169.

EXACTLY. Other people will buy it, it will turn out to be awesome and the level of smugness will be unbearable. Or it will be s**t and people will forget about it immediately. Win-win.

I'd consider a second gen Apple watch though...once all the improvements are made to the inevitable issues of the 1st gen product.
