Wish I had an MC... :tumbleweed:

I saw your thread with Molly going mate!! I was interested at a time - hope its gone to a good home - the no plate was just perfect :)

Congrats, it looks lovely!

Only comment is to ask why are there so many balance weights on that wheel - was the tyre put on misaligned to the valve or something?

Thanks - i have no idea, but I also noticed alot of balance weights on the wheel. I intend on getting all wheels balanced before a Hunter allignment at some point soon so will know more then. The car drives perfectly well but from what I know the track was setup with the tow slightly out versus in (or vice versa) so not sure if this is related. anyhow - i will have that reverted back to whatever it should be for the car and these wheels!

I didnt know the tire had to be alligned to the valve. I thought tires were always the same all the way round???

I met a nice chap from Leicestershire at Zedfest last year, who was parked two Zeds down from me. He had a lovely 21k mileage example. Lets hope he's there again this year. I did try to recruit him to the Forum but alas he hasn't appeared!

Jamie - your car is fantastic and a credit to Graham and Steve. I really should think about some CSL's for mine.

great ride! Congrats! Agree on those CSL's they really set this car off the right way. WHere did you get them?

Glad your happy with it,I dont know what I would replace mine with its difficult to improve on at sub £20k.

I got mine last Summer by telephone through CA automotive (they have them on their website) , they came speedily direct from a major BMW dealership. The first set I bought for my first Z4MC back in 2006 came from Thorney Motorsports. It was and may still be the case that BMW dealers need a CSL vin number before supplying genuine CSL wheels. I have also owned an E46 M3 CS and the CSLs on it had as I recall the same part number for the rears but the fronts were different (8" rather than 8.5).

CA offer a discount to members of some car related forums eg M3 Cutters and seem prepared to haggle a bit. The wheels are not cheap but the first set I sold (which were around £1200 in 2006 ) I sold separately from the Z for pretty close to what I paid for them. Then of course tyres will be required. First time around I went for Pilot Sports this time Pilot Super Sports both times in the std M3 CSL sizes.

Have fun, still regret selling it now - but it was tim for a change after nearly five years. A house with multiple garages and a bank full of dosh and I'd have kept it.

Jamie!

Incredible ///M, such a rare colour and well, the CSLs just finish the look so well. All you need now is a stubby and to bring her to BMWOC next Sat. Gonna be a couple of us there so would be good to have a good few more from the forum there to raise the standards!
