I don't know what it is but I'm absolutely loving this. Have always had a huge soft spot for saloon Civics/type r's as it is so maybe because it's a bit longer looking maybe I'm inclined to like it.. but this I love

too much going on, it doesn't have any classy lines which is what I usually like in cars. This is just all out aero and transformers.

The Type R used to be cool, but as they've got older they've got worse and worse to the point now where it looks like a car thats about to turn into a Transformer. All personal choice of course.

I like the earlier Civic type R's when they were sleeker and had more simple lines... just way too much going on for me, Its like a collage of bolt on carbon and plastic. I'd love to have a blast around a track in one and I'd defiantly be checking it out if I saw it out on the road but I won't be saving the pennies any time soon. Just my take on it.

The current gen civic looks like it would roll all the way to the crash barriers around a fast tight bend :poke:

;)

can totally see what people mean with it being too fussy. It's not my style at all but for some reason I can't stop staring :/ am I having a mid-life crisis??

Love to drive it for a day, would never buy it...

You really got to question their product marketing team on this one. Who is it actually aimed? At £30-35k who would really buy it....too expensive for teenagers but way too over the top for most 30+ men (who could afford it). It feels like they are still stuck in the late 90's when we all used to ridiculously modify our Escorts and Nova SR's...

Oddly enough I looked at pics of these online yesterday, sorry but that styling is just not for me, too bitty & has a 'Halfords special' look about it.

If they could tone down those false looking ducts on the front and back the car would look ok,they seem to have followed BMW with this trend.
If the bucket seats are like the one I sat in last September that would put me off as they were a wright pain to get in and out of.

An honest if rather robust design and hangs together better, from the front, than the M3, which it reminds me of. Still not my cup of tea though. :)

The back though. No that's too much chav for me.

There will always be fans for this type of machine which is ok, but I think they honda are going too close to a fwd verson of a current 4dr scooby in styling and performance.

Neither points of which I understand honda are trying to go. I think the previous concept was a great looker but the production version was badly executed.

I'll be skipping this generation type r, maybe Its just old age :(

It's orrable, the reviews of the standard car have been underwhelming whereby the Type R is always trying too hard whilst not been good at anything. Bring back the CRX :)

I'd have to wear a head bag driving that

Tim.
