Be interesting to hear your thoughts over the coming weeks / months over not having the roadster option on drives out :?

Nice cars, both of you 8) 997 for sure is good value at the moment. Not knowing the market that well, are cabs priced higher than coupes? Or did you both decide against a cab for some other reason? Looking at both your histories seems open top was favoured, at least z flavoured :?

Nice looking gen1 997
With imo the better looking wheels enjoy op.
These are somewhat a performance bargain now.
Scaremongering and forums have put people off buying due to Borescore issues rear main seal issues and intermediate shaft bearing. But if you get a well kept good one and have a borescope check done them you can pretty much enjoy depreciation proof supercar driving. :driving: :driving:

Can't speak for Colin but there's just no way id ever consider a vert 911  the idea makes me shudder & i have little desire for a Boxster of any description , just don't appeal to me at all :(
I got into roadsters by default in a way , after 2 previous 911,s (both coupes) & a 645Ci i found may way into Zs with the Si E86 , The first E85 happened as a project repair , i liked the change of scene & whilst ive had other E85s was always drawn back with subsequent E86s.
E89s seemed to offer the best of all Z worlds but i found my desire to return to Porsche was getting harder to ignore & as you point out right now seems like a turkey shoot for anyone buying in
