I've moved over to the Dark Side.

I give up the boot space willingly for the better balance and handling of a mid engine. Also you have the front boot which is very deep.
If it ever was a problem I'd get a boot rack.

That really is a thing of beauty.

I think when the time comes to replace my Z4 i'm going to have to go over to a porche.

Not too many cars have a soft top now... Not a fan of the folding hard tops as renders the boot useless.

There's not to much boot space in a porsche, you find a engine in there

But i found the front boot big enough for a few bags.

When looking for my e85 5 or so years ago it was second in its class for boot space... Behind the boxter.

Thank you very much for the comments, all great and some very funny. :)

The new 981 Boxster really is a fantastic car to drive. Beautiful inside and the quality is just great.

I have had 3 Z4's two of them were M's, so just couldn't see myself buying a 4th :?

And after an M, there is no E89 equivalent so you had little choice but to step out :D

I recognise quite a few shared parts by the look of it with my 911

Hi all

Thank you for all the great comments.

This 981 really is a thing of beauty. Anyway you look at it is awesome. Fantastic to drive and handles like a dream. I do miss the M but this thing is just a different kind of car altogether.

The PDK box on it is just fantastic, flick the switch marked 'Sports Plus' and knock it into manual and changing gear is crisp and sharp.

That is lovely. It's incredible how much Porsche have managed to improved both the 981 versions over their predecessors.

Was stuck in traffic directly alongside Porsche Leeds today , strangely serene gazing the car park & showroom window ,
You can turn a blind eye or kid yourself they are not that good but they are the next step forward in prestige German motor from the BMW.Merc & Audi  some v v nice things parked there today :driving:

I was stuck in the exact same
place yesterday Mr W. We must have been like two ships...!!

Whilst I was there I saw my first moving 991 GT3 too. It was being driven into the garage sans number plates so
I wondered if it might have been some sort of PDI for one very fortunate individual!!

Lovely! Drove one a few months back back-to-back against a Cayman and a Macan. We bought the Macan 8)
Stunning pieces of kit, and Porsche are a real step up in quality even above my ALPINA's.
The new owner of my ALPINA B3SBiturbo has a lovely GT3 as his daily car :?

Enjoy your new ride! :driving:

I must admit i am not a huge Porsche fan. But the latest design for the boxster and cayman are absolutely stunning 8)

Some fantastic comments regarding the new look to the Porsche range. Im very impressed with the drive and it doesn't half get some looks too.

My friend Frank having a look at the car.
