Nice - you'll enjoy the 3.0 and the Auto box - you do realise the next step is the 35is?...
Little steps Ronk and I'll get there without SWMBO noticing

That's what I did and it worked
A fella I knew had three motorbikes at one time - he always kept two of them in his mates garage. Toys by stealth!

Nice move Paul, we knew it was going to happen though :poke: , enjoy mate enjoy .

Nice looking car, hope you enjoy it.
The Sport button makes a much bigger difference in an auto where it changes the gearbox shift pattern.
My 23i was an auto, although it was a quick car it didn't really feel it unless it was in sport mode. I replaced it with a 35i manual, the sport button doesn't make that much difference in the manual (stiffens up the steering a little and makes the throttle a little more responsive) but an extra 100hp makes up for that. :) :driving:
Cheers, Dave

Your not wrong about the sport button! I've been having a little play today after work and the box is lovely and smooth with the power then press the sport button and it's like a different car and really punchy. I'm liking this car a lot!

It does pain me to admit I'm impressed with the auto Fred, but the truth is in am. I met Stupot67 today and I think he was pleasantly surprised at how it drove too :driving:
Oh and just so you know, I removed the stubby before I chopped in the 23i.... choices choices :P

Indeed I did, and I didn't manage too press the brake pedal while going for the non existent clutch pedal :)

Very relaxed and smooth in full auto mode, and still very civilised in sport mode and swaps cogs a lot quicker than you would think :driving:

Stu.

The auto is very good, great in traffic, shifts are very smooth, and you can always use the shift levers on the steering wheel to drop a couple of gears for a rapid overtake even if you're in Drive - but for me I felt manual was more involving. I was going to keep the 23i a bit longer, looking for a 3 litre manual (no direct injection/HPFP) with 19in wheels and I-Drive - but then I had a drive in a 35i manual...
Cheers, Dave

Manual wasn't an option for me if I wanted to get the upgrade past SWMBO. I've had a lot of fun this weekend in sport mode and using paddles and it felt differient but involved enough for me. It's a personal preference thing so no right it wrong  I thought about a 35i but I may have pushed the car a little this weekend so I'm not sure more grunt is a good idea for me :driving:
