Itunes expert needed!

I've got a really annoying problem with itunes at the moment, it says I've played a song when I haven't. Also smart playlists that deal with date last played are different on the PC and iphone. Any help gratefully received

Not sure, I've updated to itunes 11 but problem may have been there before. Tried to roll back to 10.7 but it wouldn't play my library on the old version :evil:

Managed to roll back to 10.7 after much pulling out of hair and it's OK now, so basically avoid iTunes 11! Don't like the new layout either

I've been using itunes for years. Can't ever remember bothering to look at the last played nor how many times I've played a tune. I just listen to what I want at that moment. You wouldn't suffer a bit of OCD would you. oke:

I have a playlist that only includes songs that I haven't listened to in the last 6 months oke:



I do have mild OCD as well though

I guess I'm the sort that even though I don't mind tech. Sometimes I think that maybe we get a little to involved. Back in the day. When my music was on vinyl or tape. I didn't need a collated database in a three ring binder to tell me what I need to listen to. This is just a general statement and not aimed at anyone. If one is concerned that they may not hear a song every so often. Just put the mp3 player on shuffle. 8)

Trouble is when you have 2000+ songs, even on shuffle you might not hear songs for a long time. Agree that things were better when they were simpler though, how often do you listen to an album from start to finish now?

Just upgraded to 11 this morning, have to say I don't like the new interface.

I like my iPod on shuffle album so always listen to complete albums.

Also upgraded. I like interfaces with options easily available not hidden under layers of pretty graphics, all this crappy simplification with Windows8 and iTunes 11 is pretty annoying. :thumbsdown:

I've got 4000 songs. I find that I go through fazes. And switch genres every so often. I still pay no attention to the play stats.

I upgraded to 11 today.

I have a similar issue with my smart playlists which are based on dates last played (but mine are the last 3 months)

I had to recreate them and they worked!

I also disliked the new layout ... but managed to make it look like the old one, but displaying the browser bar and side bar :evil:
