Yeah, Luke had the Johnny Bravo avatar first, JE nicked it and added the 'I drive a Z4' text to it... so much for people having 'unique' avatars...

What you rolling around laughing for....you havent even got a Avatar :P

Short of having my ugly mug as an avatar, couldn't find anything else unique.

2L boosted would be pretty epic.. having just splashed some money into my TTS its more than a match for an M now... from its lowly 2L 4cl and only £180 road tax :D

These new breed of fast spool turbo small CC engines are very good.... My little fiesta ST can easily be tuned upto 240bhp with simple bolt on mods and a 500 quid tune... i have no doubt it would show many a sports car a clean pair of pipes in most real world situations, down a bumpy back road its totally nuts how fast you can travel in it, my z4 would be in a hedge trying to keep up. Some mad company has just released a 300hp Turbo kit for it...

Simple... I dropped it off at MRC tuning in oxford and then went sightseeing for the day :D

But in all seriousness... the joys of having a stock turbo... all i got was a 3" downpipe, sports cat, miltek backbox and stage 2 remap (take away the 0 from £20K and i would still have change)..... the bhp isnt much to shout about (ran initially slightly over 280bhp) but the torque... it started about 350odd to over 500 now! the acceleration is pretty brutal.

Still not as fun as my old Z - and agreeable to OG doesnt look as good (i would say lipstick on a horse not pig though  ).... But effortless to go fast... and the quattro comes into its own down the back B roads - none of the tram lining/ skittish hopping the Z experienced.

But to bring the topic back onto JE's plans i would seriously considering boosting your existing engine.. its light.. will maintain its existing characteristics.. and forget chasing bhp figures.. they are only good for pub talk... get decent torque and give it a drive.. and it really will put a smile on your face

Literally blew my mind after my first proper blat in it.... I'll be doing some tuning bits Very soon... i smell a quaife diff in my life  You take liberties with a FWD Hot hatch that you simply can't dream of in a rwd car, you can see why the average driver can hustle FWD so quickly, very little skill required to get from A-B very quickly.

This one's for you Jonny a 1000+ BHP 2.0L four cylinder VW Golf eating up a Yamaha R1. The sound is just awesome.

Maybe worth contacting these guys to see what ideas they could have for yours.
You really can't beat tuned four pots, please keep the original engine and get tuning. You're close to Brands hatch, go watch some four pot racing and you'll be hooked.

Great stuff aquazi I bet you are well chuffed with the results  we considered tuning our old one because the engine was really laggy when mated to the S-Tronic gearbox, I know yours is manual so I would imagine that's not as bad in standard form anyway but I had read that tuning the engine eliminates the lag so I always thought it would have been worthwhile...

Not to mention the epic power gains too! :driving:

What a completely insane car :dizzy:

Well done aquazi - I've used MRC, Banbury too on my S4 Avant taking power up from 333 PS to around 480PS which was a little lower than hoped. With just a remap, pulley and revised air intake plus the S-tronic gearbox remapped too for even faster shifts.

Pulling power is just immense - real world Ferrari level power with Quattro and a Sports Diff -all in a relatively humble looking "estate" - very stealth. Well worth the trip down from Scotland for me. Bizarrely the S4 is some way faster than my new 981 S Boxster but in a very different way !

He's not kidding - the performance of the S4 is mightily impressive

Its a NA 4.2 V8.

Someone on the A5OC forum is running a Stage 3 supercharger putting out 600~ PS and 615~nm quite mental :D

Not that I can afford to tune it at present, but we can all dream :D Debating an AWE Track exhaust once the warranty is up in Feb next year though, unleash a nice sound :)
